Washington – The Department of Transportation has issued updated employer guidelines on drug and alcohol testing.

The guidelines, released June 1, had last been revised in October 2010 by the department’s Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance.

The updated guidelines include a new employee category, a new example of when to submit management information system reports and the removal of outdated resources for medical review officer training.
