CPWR to host webinar on 2017 National Safety Stand-Down

Silver Spring, MD – The Center for Construction Research and Training, also known as CPWR, has scheduled a free webinar for March 1 to help safety professionals prepare for the 2017 National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, set for May 8-12.

Participants will learn about successes from previous stand-downs as well as plans for this year’s event. Webinar speakers include Chris Trahan Crain, executive director of CPWR; Christine Branche, principal associate director at NIOSH and director of the Office of Construction Safety and Health; and Dean McKenzie, director of OSHA’s Directorate of Construction.

Falls are the No. 1 cause of death among construction workers, according to OSHA.
