NIOSH seeks nominations for ‘Safe-in-Sound’ awards
Washington – NIOSH and the National Hearing Conservation Association are seeking self-nominations for the Safe-in-Sound Excellence and Innovation in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards.
The awards recognize hearing loss prevention programs in each of three work sectors: construction, manufacturing and services. A fourth award specifically for innovation in hearing loss prevention is available to any company or individual regardless of work sector.
Self-nomination applications are due Sept. 8. Applicants are encouraged to describe measurable achievements and real-world successes from their hearing loss prevention programs.
Additionally, applicants must submit one letter from an external source familiar with the program or innovation, and one letter from someone who has benefited directly from the program or innovation.
The awards will be presented in February at the 40th NHCA Annual Conference in New Orleans.
