Maritime advisory committee to receive update on beryllium rule

Washington – OSHA’s Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health is scheduled to receive an update on the agency’s proposed beryllium rule during a May 3 meeting.

The meeting, slated to take place in Washington, will include reports from the committee’s work groups, as well as a presentation on advisory committee ethics. MACOSH’s Longshoring and Shipyard work groups also are scheduled to meet May 3-4 to discuss temporary workers, mechanic safety and worker protection from toxic preservation coatings, among other topics.

The meetings are open to the public.
