NSC names Green Cross for Safety Awards winners

Itasca, IL — The National Safety Council presented its Green Cross for Safety Awards during a ceremony May 23 in Chicago to three organizations that have helped save lives and prevent injuries.

The recipient of the Excellence Award was Schneider National, the Innovation Award went to Brigham Health Sleep Matters Initiative and the Advocate Award was presented to Common Ground Alliance 811 Campaign.

“Brigham Health, Common Ground Alliance and Schneider National have helped improve safety at home, at work and on our roadways,” Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of NSC, said in a press release. “They share the council’s mission to eliminate preventable deaths and make the world measurably safer. We are proud to honor them and to recognize all the outstanding finalists.”

Award finalists were selected, reviewed and evaluated by an external panel.
