Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee to host meeting on ADS in commercial vehicles
Washington — The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee is slated to host a public meeting on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 to discuss automated driving systems for commercial motor vehicles.
According to a notice published in the Aug. 28 Federal Register, the meeting is a continuation of MCSAC’s discussion on the topic from a previous meeting that took place in July 2018, when the committee shared preliminary recommendations on regulations FMCSA should revise, workforce issues and other items the agency must consider and address during potential rulemaking.
An agenda will be posted online before the meeting, the notice states. Written comments are due Sept. 6.
