Free benchmarking survey, safety consultation highlight NSC Resource Center offerings
San Diego — Do you know where your organization ranks when it comes to safety? Stop by the National Safety Council Resource Center (Booth #4135) during the NSC 2019 Congress & Expo and take a free, online benchmarking survey to learn how your organization compares with others.
The five-minute, 20-question survey scores your organization in three categories: safety management, safety performance and safety programs. After receiving a printout of your organization’s results, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a free, 15-minute consultation with an NSC workplace safety subject matter expert.
“You will get some concrete guidance and interpretation of your results,” said Kim Shambrook, vice president of safety education and training services at NSC. “Together, we can look at what you need to do to improve your operations. Our experts are people who have analyzed and consulted with organizations large and small about their safety operations. You’ll be talking to a pro who is objective and is responding to your specific situation.”
Delve deeper into your results at five different stations designed to provide workplace safety solutions regarding:
- Training and education
- Risk assessment
- Performance indicators
- Engagement
- Safety programs
Additionally, the NSC Resource Center includes an interactive exhibit, “The Art of Seeing Safety,” from the Center of Visual Expertise. The exhibit is the latest version of COVE’s visual literacy program.
COVE, founded by the Toledo Museum of Art and a partner with the Campbell Institute at NSC, uses a visual experience to help safety professionals improve their recognition of everyday hazards that can often be missed.
“It’s a very powerful experience,” Shambrook said.
