“Muhammad carried out deep dive analysis of all recordable injuries, near misses and first aid cases over the past two years. He found that 70% of incidents involved defective hand or power tools, hoses, gratings, and scaffolding issues. He collected 180 good and bad practices with pictures and text and provided visual demonstration of unsafe practices related to hand and power tools, scaffolding, temporary hoses, and gratings. He compiled it in a pocket-size handbook, distributed it to 1,000-plus company and contractor staff, and monitored its effective use. He also launched a monthly Best Safety Observation Reward campaign to encourage reporting.”
