Live from Orlando: ‘On the Safe Side’ makes its Congress & Expo debut

Podcast

Orlando, FL — The guys from On the Safe Side – a monthly podcast from Safety+Health that covers important safety topics and features interviews with leading voices in the profession – took the show on the road for a live taping Oct. 11 at the 2021 NSC Safety Congress & Expo at the Orange County Convention Center.

S+H Associate Editors Barry Bottino, Kevin Druley and Alan Ferguson discussed some of the highlights – in their view – of the first day of the event, some Congress & Expo history, and other happenings in and around the show. The trio welcomed special guest Richard Hawk, a veteran safety pro, professional speaker and contributor to S+H with his monthly All About You column. Hawk touched on, among numerous other topics, being in front of live audiences again and seeing fellow safety pros in person amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He also pointed out a “change” he observed on the first day: “There’s more health stuff and more stuff about training than there was in the past.”

Did you miss the live recording? The trio will be recording another live mini-episode from the NSC Booth (2525) at 1:30 p.m. Eastern on Oct 12. And they’ll have another special guest on hand.
