MAGID
MAGID, a national personal protective equipment manufacturer and distributor, is based in Romeoville, IL. That state saw record-high gas prices – averaging $5 a gallon – this past summer. To address travel costs, the leadership team in May implemented a $50,000 gas subsidy program to help employees. The program offered employees a $1-a-gallon subsidy for their commute to Magid and/or onsite customer visits. All employees were automatically enrolled, as long as they didn’t drive an electric vehicle – Magid’s headquarters already offers free charging for EVs. The company has contributed more than $100,000 to this program.
