Construction advisory committee and workgroups will meet in February
Washington — OSHA’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health has scheduled its next meeting for Feb. 22.
The meeting, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, will take place at the Department of Labor’s Frances Perkins Building.
The agenda includes:
- Remarks from OSHA administrator Doug Parker
- Updates from OSHA’s Directorate of Construction
- A discussion on women in construction
The ACCSH meeting also is expected to include reports from committee workgroups, which will meet Feb. 21. The Emerging Technology workgroup will meet 9 to 11 a.m., the Workzone workgroup from Noon to 2 p.m. and the Health in Construction workgroup from 2:10 to 4:10 p.m.
Registration for in-person attendance and submission of comments or requests to speak are due Feb. 15.
ACCSH advises DOL and OSHA on upcoming standards affecting the construction industry and “the administration of safety and health provisions” in the Construction Safety Act.
