NIOSH to host public meeting on proposed nanomaterials survey
Washington – NIOSH has scheduled a public meeting on July 31 in Cincinnati to hear comments on a proposed survey about engineered nanomaterials.
The agency hopes to evaluate the extent to which nanomaterial guidelines from NIOSH and other organizations are being used in the workplace and identify barriers to wider use. NIOSH guidelines include Approaches to Safe Nanotechnology: Managing the Health and Safety Concerns Associated with Engineered Nanomaterials and General Safe Practices for Working with Engineered Nanomaterials in Research Laboratories.
The deadline to register for the meeting is July 17.
