NTSB introduces safety video series for general aviation pilots
Washington – The National Transportation Safety Board is launching a series of five videos on general aviation safety.
The videos will be released throughout July, NTSB stated, and they can be viewed on the agency’s YouTube channel.
General aviation, which refers to most non-scheduled civilian flights, has been on NTSB’s “Most Wanted” list of transportation safety improvements since 2011 partly because of inadequate pilot education and training. The agency released five safety alerts in March featuring recommendations for these pilots, including safety in reduced-visibility conditions, detecting aircraft mechanical problems before flights and applying safety to flight decision-making practices.
