‘Total Worker Health’ symposium set for October
Washington – NIOSH has announced an inaugural symposium that will explore Total Worker Health, the agency’s strategy for advancing worker health by integrating health protection and health promotion.
The International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health is scheduled for Oct. 6-8 in Bethesda, MD.
NIOSH is seeking abstracts on the following topics:
- Factors contributing to health and safety challenges in the workplace
- Effects of integrated interventions
- Strategies and practices for implementing integrated innovations
- Measurement tools and data regarding integrated interventions
- Implementation barriers
Abstracts for the symposium are due March 24.
NIOSH also is launching a webinar series on Total Worker Health, with the first webinar set to air Feb. 25.
