Group releases resources for National Workplace Wellness Week
Alexandria, VA – Advocacy group Mental Health America is offering resources to employers as part of National Workplace Wellness Week (April 1-7).
The resources include information on:
- Why businesses should support workplace wellness initiatives
- Myths about mental illness
- How to support an employee with a mental health condition
- Bullying
- Signs of a healthy workplace
Every year, four people in a typical 20-person office will experience a mental health condition, according to an MHA press release. The group claims including mental health as part of a workplace wellness program may help reduce an employer’s health care expenses.
