Federal workgroup schedules update on chemical facility safety
Washington – Government agencies have made “significant progress” on implementing an action plan to improve chemical facility safety and security, according to an Oct. 22 Federal Register notice announcing a free webinar scheduled for Nov. 10 on the matter.
Under Executive Order 13650, the Departments of Labor and Homeland Security and the Environmental Protection Agency are leading a government workgroup to identify ways to reduce safety and security risks associated with hazardous chemicals.
The group released a status report in June, and the upcoming public webinar will provide further updates, the notice states.
