Poultry foundation to fund study on worker exposure to antimicrobials
Tucker, GA – The U.S. Poultry Foundation, part of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, is seeking proposals on a study to monitor worker exposure to antimicrobials used during poultry processing.
“Many companies have conducted studies that clearly demonstrate the exposure of employees to these antimicrobial substances is well below levels of concern from an industrial hygiene perspective. However, there is a dearth of publicly available, peer-reviewed studies on the topic,” the foundation stated in a press release.
The deadline for submissions is Nov. 1.
