Bilbao, Spain — A new virtual toolkit from the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, also known as EU-OSHA, consists of a series of videos aimed at helping workers understand their risk of musculoskeletal disorders and how to prevent them.

Each of the 14 videos in the Understanding Musculoskeletal Disorders toolkit features Napo, an animated 3D character who performs various work-related tasks. In the “lighthearted, discussion-provoking” videos, Napo is confronted with various health and safety issues such as correct posture, safe lifting, dangers of repetitive work, customizing your workstation, preventing vibration injuries and knowing the first signs of MSDs, among others. The videos provide prevention measures for each scenario.

Napo, whose webpage features the tagline “safety with a smile,” appears in other work-related videos that cover situations such as heat stress, dust at work, road safety, electrical shocks, stress and chemical exposures.
