COVID-19 pandemic: CPWR infographics spotlight basic safety measures
Silver Spring, MD — In an effort to help keep construction workers and their families safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, CPWR – The Center for Construction Research and Training has introduced three infographics.
The infographics reinforce the importance of following longtime pandemic safety protocols, including:
- Wearing a face covering or respirator while working
- Frequently washing hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer, and refraining from touching one’s own face
- Maintaining 6 feet of distance from others when possible
One infographic declares: “You have rights … But you don’t have the right to endanger your co-workers.” CPWR reminds workers to wear a face covering when operating around others and to use a respirator when working within 6 feet of other people.
All three infographics – available in English and Spanish – can be used on social media and during presentations, posted online, or printed and posted in prominent locations on jobsites.
