True North Gear
Seattle-based True North Gear is now Climate Neutral Certified, becoming one of the first brands in the personal protective equipment market to commit to offsetting and reducing its carbon footprint. Climate Neutral is a nonprofit organization committed to solving climate change by making carbon neutrality simple and accessible to businesses. Together, Climate Neutral Certified companies are working to eliminate more than 1 million tons of carbon emissions. “Globally, we emit almost 60 billion tons of greenhouse gasses every year,” a True North Gear press release states. “In 2018, our
industry was responsible for 2.1 billion tons of these emissions due to the resources required to make and deliver our products. We’re acting now because scientifically vetted solutions to combat climate change are accessible to brands like ours.”
