Safety recall issued for work boots
Bethesda, MD — The H.H. Brown Shoe Co. has issued a safety recall of its Redeemer Men’s Work Boot Model DH 5379 because of a potential hazard.
According to an advisory posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website, the boot’s sole isn’t puncture-resistant. The recall involves Redeemer DH 5379 Men’s 11-Inch Waterproof Metguard Comp Toe Ropers Work Boots with manufacturing codes VCJJ22, VCJC23, VCJD23 and VCJF23.
The pull-on boots have a leather upper decorated in a Western theme. They also feature a square toe, a 1-inch heel, an EVA midsole and a metatarsal guard. The words “Puncture Resisting Sole” are embossed in the leather in the back of the boot.
Affected users should replace the boots immediately. Customers can contact H.H. Brown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern on weekdays by calling (800) 441-4319, sending an email to [email protected] or visiting doublehboots.com/en/safetyrecall.html.
The company will provide a prepaid shipping label to return the boots for a free replacement pair.
