OSHA invites stakeholders to weigh in on hearing loss
Washington – OSHA has scheduled an informal stakeholder meeting on Nov. 3 in Washington to discuss occupational hearing loss prevention.
At the meeting, the agency intends to gather information on best practices for hearing conservation programs, personal protective equipment and feasible engineering controls. Between 20,000 and 25,000 workers experience preventable hearing loss each year due to high noise levels at work, according to OSHA.
