The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs – part of the White House’s Office of Management and Budget – reviews proposed regulations. The process is required for most rules before they can move forward, and typically takes 90 days.

$448,000 to a Minnesota guardrail installation company for the death of an employee who was electrocuted while putting up signs along a Wisconsin interstate

$229,600 to two Missouri companies for alleged violations associated with a worker who was overcome by exposure to methyl ethyl ketone and died

$41,300 to a Pennsylvania company in connection with the crushing death of an employee
