Justin McElhattan, Group President, Environmental Health & Safety, Fortive
Justin McElhattan serves as Fortive vice president and group president, environmental, health and safety, a position he’s held since 2021. In this role, he’s responsible for building Fortive’s presence as a leader in EHS and other critical sustainability solutions. Under his leadership, Fortive extended its strategic EHS capabilities with the acquisitions of Intelex, SAFER Systems and ehsAI. Justin came to Fortive through the 2017 acquisition of Industrial Scientific, where he served as CEO since 2010. His career at Industrial Scientific began in 1998. He held various positions within the company, including field sales manager for North America, VP of operations, and, most recently, president and CEO. Before joining Industrial Scientific, he worked in industrial distribution, gaining experience at Sheridan Safety in Dayton, OH, and SAFECO in Kingsport, TN. He earned his bachelor’s in environmental resource management from Penn State and MBA from Tepper School at Carnegie Mellon.
Scott Gaddis, Global Practice Leader S+H, Intelex
Scott is vice president, global practice leader, safety and health, for Intelex Technologies in Toronto. He leads integration of the EHSQ Alliance in thought leadership and building partnerships with key clients and other top influencers in EHS. Scott is responsible for the engagement of EHS professionals across the globe to provide a platform for sharing information and collectively driving solutions that mitigate workplace loss. In addition, he works internally with the sales and marketing teams to further increase EHS capability and knowledge that supports Intelex customers. Before joining Intelex, he was vice president, global environment, health and safety for Coveris High Performance Packaging Co. in Chicago. Before that, he spent five years as executive director of global EHS for Bristol Myers Squibb and 18 years with the Kimberly-Clark Corp. in various senior EHS leadership roles, ending as global director of occupational safety and health. He also spent five years with GE.
