Federal trucking survey on parking available until May 2
Washington – Interstate truck drivers have until May 2 to complete an anonymous online survey about the availability of truck parking in the United States.
The Federal Highway Administration partnered with the Grain Valley, MO-based Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association to launch the survey in early April to gather information on a suspected nationwide parking shortage. Survey responses will be used to help determine whether individual states have enough parking and rest areas to help commercial drivers comply with federal hours-of-service requirements, the survey introduction states.
Results will be published on FHWA’s website at a later date.
