“Gillian has taken it upon herself to lead our institution to the highest level of safety, coordinating our fire drills, disaster drills and faculty/staff training sessions on a regular basis. Since participating on the safety committee and as chair, she has set up communication and protocol with the Manchester Police Department, developed a resource officer relationship and created an internal threat assessment team to analyze all behavioral concerns within our community (in an attempt to prevent dangerous situations from escalating). With members of the safety committee, Gillian has instituted a safety tip of the week program in which preventive advice is disseminated to our community via our weekly newsletter.”
