“Nathan continually seeks ways to engage employees in safety. The creation of a safety department balanced scorecard allows the tracking of leading indicators as a tool for future performance. This balanced scorecard and performance graphs are located on the newly created EHS employee communication bulletin board outside our lunch room. With the creation of a hazard mapping board, employees and management can visually see on a large facility map the location of all recordable and first aid injuries by type over the last six years. This tool allows visual interpretation of the injury data, resulting in increased employee awareness.”
