2016 Rising Stars of Safety: Taking safety to a new level
The National Safety Council presents the Rising Stars of Safety, Class of 2016
Mark Ahner
Age 26
EH&S Associate
W.L. Gore & Associates Inc.
Newark, DE
“Mark has a deep-rooted belief that safety and health is not just a ‘cost of doing business.’ At an early age, as a volunteer firefighter, he developed a passion for protecting people. Later, his decision to enter the safety field was based on having family members and friends affected by workplace injuries and industry-induced hearing loss. Through experiences like these he has witnessed both the direct and indirect cost of safety to both individuals and families. Because of this, he is uncompromising when it comes to EH&S performance.”
