Calling all nonprofits: OSHA Training Institute seeking partners for Education Centers Program
Washington – OSHA is requesting applications from nonprofit organizations interested in providing occupational safety and health classes as part of the agency’s Training Institute Education Centers Program.
The program, which began in 1992, offers private- and public-sector training similar to OSHA’s Training Institute in Arlington Heights, IL. The program has taught more than 250,000 students in the past decade.
Applicants will be judged on their abilities to serve regional areas and OSHA’s training requirements, as well as on other qualifications.
The deadline to apply is June 30. Applications should be mailed to Jim Brock, U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Directorate of Training and Education, 2020 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005-4102.
At press time, a proposal conference on the program was scheduled for May 17 at the Arlington Heights location.
