2017 Rising Stars of Safety: 'Eliminating preventable deaths'
The National Safety Council presents the Rising Stars of Safety, Class of 2017
Jacob Krzystowczyk

Corporate Industrial Hygienist

“Jacob began and led an initiative to completely transform and improve company-wide potent pharmaceutical handling. He worked for six months to secure funding and a contract to provide a qualitative assessment at one of our manufacturing facilities. Jacob then developed a new, improved pharmaceutical categorization tool. The use of this new tool has allowed for quicker, more accurate categorization of new and existing pharmaceuticals. The site can now target extra handling and PPE precautions around the more hazardous materials. By use of this tool, new products can be brought online faster while simultaneously better managing the exposure risks associated with these new materials.”
