“Chris has a can-do attitude and can think out of the box. Example: Working with the vessel crew and shore-side engineering, he developed a self-retracting safe working platform for servicing equipment in an elevated space that eliminated the ability of the worker to fall from height without the need for fall arrest equipment. The mechanism also incorporated visual indicators for personnel working aloft to alert other crew to the overhead platform, preventing possible impact injuries. Furthermore, the design/spec was shared with vessels of similar construction as a fleet-wide safety improvement.”
