2017 Rising Stars of Safety: 'Eliminating preventable deaths'
The National Safety Council presents the Rising Stars of Safety, Class of 2017
Jeremiah Wallace

Safety Specialist II
Alliant Energy
Mineral Point, WI
“Jeremiah identified a fall protection issue for employees working on substation transformers. The issue was rather complex due to the transformer configuration and required a great deal of research on his part. In the end, Jeremiah found a viable solution and gained buy-in from the employees who use the product. In addition to an expert understanding of our energy delivery business, Jeremiah possesses a strong understanding of our power generation business. He used that understanding during a ground-up revision of our lockout/tagout procedure. Without his willingness to immerse himself in the topic, the lockout/tagout procedure would have been severely delayed while a revision was very necessary.”
