National Association of Safety Professionals
The ANSI National Accreditation Board has granted initial accreditation for the Wilmington, NC-based National Association of Safety Professionals’ Certified Safety Director and Master Safety Professional credentials, under the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons.” The certification process assesses the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired through work experience and education, as well as the ability to pass a comprehensive exam covering the core competencies that compose the safety professional’s body of knowledge. NASP’s credentials are competency-based certifications that require ongoing professional development and periodic renewal.
