“Jeffrey expressed concern about the amount of traffic safety-related mishaps. He sought out $25,000 from the National Guard Bureau to fund Motorcycle Safety Foundation rider training for Oklahoma soldiers. He then located 14 MSF courses throughout our state and created a local process to ensure soldiers had the ability to attend the course closest to their homes. Jeffrey also volunteered to become an NSC Defensive Driving Course instructor, with the goal of teaching soldiers the importance of safe vehicle operations. As a result, our state’s traffic safety mishap rate has reduced by 15% this fiscal year, compared to the same time frame last year.”
