NSC shines a light on naloxone
New Orleans — Throughout the 2023 NSC Safety Congress & Expo, the National Safety Council will be calling attention to a growing workplace safety issue: opioid overdoses. According to NSC, workplace overdose deaths have risen 536% since 2011, and nearly 1 out of 11 work-related fatalities are caused by overdoses.
Help reverse this trend. While you’re at the show, stop by these naloxone-focused events:
Occupational Keynote (8 a.m. Tuesday): This keynote session will include an interactive awareness video about the administration of naloxone, and NSC first aid experts will be on stage. We’ll also be attempting to set the world record for the number of safety professionals trained on administering naloxone – and we need your help! Don’t miss this special opportunity.
Top-of-the-hour training: Can’t make it to the Occupational Keynote? You can still learn how naloxone can help save a life. Head to the NSC Solutions Zone (Booth 2419) on the Expo Floor Tuesday or Wednesday at the top of every hour to view the interactive awareness video shown during the Occupational Keynote.
