Washington — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council has scheduled a public meeting for Feb. 7-8.

The tentative agenda for the hybrid meeting, set for noon Eastern each day, includes updates on NHTSA initiatives, subcommittee reports on advisory statutes and informational sessions.

NEMSAC comprises EMS representatives who advise and consult with the Federal Interagency Committee on Emergency Medical Services and the transportation secretary.

“NEMSAC provides an important national forum for the non-federal deliberation of national EMS issues and serves as a platform for advice on [the Department of Transportation’s] national EMS activities,” the meeting notice states.

Preregistration is required to attend the meeting in person or virtually. Anyone wanting to speak during the meeting must submit a written copy of their remarks to DOT by Jan. 31.
