Washington — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council has scheduled a public meeting for May 1-2.

An agenda for the hybrid meeting shows the committee will discuss:

  • Updates on NHTSA initiatives
  • Subcommittee reports on advisory statuses
  • Informational sessions
  • Strategic planning

NEMSAC comprises EMS representatives who advise and consult with the Federal Interagency Committee on Emergency Medical Services and the transportation secretary.

“NEMSAC provides an important national forum for the non-federal deliberation of national EMS issues and serves as a platform for advice on [the Department of Transportation’s] national EMS activities,” the April 15 meeting notice states.

Preregistration is required to attend the meeting.
