OSHA construction advisory committee and workgroups to meet this month
Washington — Hearing conservation and women in construction are among the topics scheduled for discussion during an upcoming Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health meeting.
The tentative agenda for the meeting, set for 9 a.m. Eastern on Oct. 30, also includes:
- A Directorate of Construction industry update
- An OSHA update and remarks from agency leader Doug Parker
- A public comment period
In addition, ACCSH’s workgroups are scheduled to give reports a day after their own meetings. The workgroups’ schedule for Oct. 29 (all times Eastern):
- Emerging Technology, 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Workzone, noon – 2 p.m.
- Health in Construction, 2:15 – 4:15 p.m.
All the meetings are open to the public in person and virtually. In-person attendance, however, is limited to the first 25 registrants.
ACCSH advises the Department of Labor and OSHA on upcoming standards affecting the construction industry and “the administration of safety and health provisions” in the Construction Safety Act.
