OSHA seeking members for construction advisory committee
Washington — OSHA is accepting nominations for membership on its Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health.
ACCSH advises the Department of Labor and OSHA on upcoming standards affecting the construction industry and “the administration of safety and health provisions” in the Construction Safety Act.
According to a notice published Nov. 27, the agency is looking for:
- Five members who represent construction employers.
- Five representatives for construction employees.
- Two members from state safety and health agencies.
- Two “public representatives” who have construction safety and health experience.
Fourteen of the committee’s 15 members have terms that expire May 15.
The deadline to submit nominations is Jan. 2.
