OSHA launches pilot program to resolve whistleblower cases
Washington – OSHA on Oct. 2 announced a new alternative dispute resolution pilot program for whistleblower cases.
Under the program, which will be implemented in OSHA Regions 5 and 9, two voluntary methods of alternative dispute resolution will be available: early resolution and mediation, an OSHA press release stated. An OSHA regional alternative dispute resolution coordinator will be available to provide assistance to both complainants and employers.
OSHA said these alternative methods can help resolve cases in a “cooperative and voluntary manner.”
