To remain competitive in the complex global marketplace, companies have to change how they manage their health and safety programs. Bottom-line objectives must be aligned with overall employee and workplace health, safety and well-being goals. However, the majority of companies approach health protection and health promotion as two separate functions that are perceived as drastically different organizational divisions and schools of thought. This dichotomy impedes employers’ ability to maximize workforce health and productivity.
During this session, you will learn about the safety and health issues facing employers as they deal with the changing workforce and why developing a total-solution approach to safety, health and wellness will be critical to every employer's business survival. We will explore how the best companies have created a culture in which everyone feels responsible for identifying, reporting and reducing potential risks. Best practices and case studies will be presented to advance the premise that a healthier workforce is a safer workplace.
