New Trends in Behavioral Safety | Success Stories and Lessons Learned

When

8/18/20 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm CDT

Event Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has drawn attention to many deficits in workplace safety and health policies. One common concern raised in recent months is how to influence safety behavior, especially in an era of adapting policies and recommendations.

With some employees pushing back against having to wear facial coverings and physical distancing recommendations, it can be difficult to know how to succeed in your role as a safety professional.

During this webinar, E. Scott Geller and Krista S. Geller, authors of “The Human Dynamics of Achieving an Injury-Free Workplace: Safety Directives From Psychological Science,” will share their research-based insights on how to improve occupational safety and health and work culture by starting with the individual. You’ll learn:

  • How to better impact supplier and worker choices.
  • How to develop a dynamic safety program that impacts and engages employees within a large, complex organization.
  • Examples of strong leadership principles.
  • What behavior-based safety should look like when effective at preventing injuries.
