Danny has the ability to relate to any audience – from the boardroom to the shop floor – and to put them at ease. He is well-spoken and teaches in a way informs and entertains audiences at the same time. His previously work as an EHS and Property Manager, a part of his over 25 years of management experience in manufacturing, warehouse/distribution and other industries, has created a foundational knowledge which he is able to apply to all environments.

Danny’s involvement with SafeStart began as a client when he implemented the process to enhance overall safety awareness once traditional, compliance based programs had reached a plateau of injury reduction. The results of the SafeStart process were both immediate and dramatic in this application, with a sustained 75% reduction of recordable accidents indexed to actual workload.

He has performed safety consultations in the petrochemical, construction, biomedical, pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, aerospace, power generation/distribution, and other industries. Some of the clients he has worked with on-site include Procter & Gamble, Westlake Chemicals, UTAS – UTC Aerospace Systems, Domtar, BASF, Nucor Steel and Harris Rebar. As a full-time Senior Safety Consultant with SafeStart, he also delivers at over 20 public workshops annually.

Danny also speaks at professional safety conferences on a variety of topics such as: utilizing advanced awareness techniques to combat distracted driving, managing an effective workers’ compensation program, understanding the basics of safety and health programs, and improving communication in training.
