Amanda Horner “Amanda heard about the ‘Buckle Up for Life’ program and was able to participate in the pilot program and bring it to Kansas. The program focuses on adult and child passenger safety for minority populations by providing education and resources directly to families. She has completed two rounds of the program and next seeks to incorporate it into the workplace safety culture by partnering with businesses in Kansas to provide lifesaving information to Spanish-speaking families. Amanda also created the ‘Traffic Safety at Work’ monthly e-newsletter that highlights traffic issues and trending topics in workplace traffic safety. The newsletter is available in English and Spanish to help employees drive safely.” |
