Thomas Franz
Age 38
Safety Manager
Aeromedical Research Laboratory
U.S. Army Fort Rucker, AL

“Mr. Franz rarely takes 'no' as an answer and continues to push safety at all levels. He will hold an OSHA 10 class for even just one person to spread safety to anyone interested. Lastly, he started the Individual Mentorship in Safety (I M Safety) Program. He uses this program to pair with employees who volunteer for larger roles in the safety program and
provides them personal coaching and mentorship in various subsections of the safety program. These volunteers then complete safety tasks and/or run program elements. This program has five participants doing great work in occupational safety, job hazard analysis, fire prevention, and ergonomics.”
