Wes Scott joins National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health

Dr. Wes Scott, director of consulting services for the National Safety Council, has been appointed to represent safety professionals on OSHA's National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.

Scott has more than 30 years of experience in the biomedical, engineering, environmental, and occupational safety and health fields. In his role at NSC, Scott provides consultant oversight, occupational training instruction, and technical and curriculum input for the development, implementation and modification of occupational safety and health training programs, services and systems.

“I am honored to serve on a committee that directly advises on policies and procedures that will save lives,” Scott said in an NSC press release announcing his appointment. “The Council has been a leader on workplace safety for more than 100 years, and we look forward to this chance to partner with individuals and organizations that share our mission and make workplaces safer.”

NACOSH is a 12-member committee that advises, consults with and makes recommendations to the secretaries of labor and health and human services on matters relating to occupational safety and health.
