The National Safety Council presents the Rising Stars of Safety, Class of 2017
Azuré Hills-Wilson
35
Senior Location Safety Manager
First Student
Carol Stream, IL
“Mrs. Azure Hills-Wilson spearheaded the implementation of all contract, corporate, state and federal safety compliance requirements for a new operation. Based in Skokie, IL, she oversaw the operator training and credentialing process to meet customer needs prior to the beginning of the school year. Additionally, she evaluated the new operating area for high-risk intersections and rail crossings, publishing her findings for location staff. With a focus on leading indicators, her leadership efforts led to zero preventable collisions, zero preventable injuries, and zero lost-time injuries throughout the full first year of the operation. Finally, she guided the Skokie location to the top score in the region on its first annual corporate safety compliance audit.”
