“Kara helped the team decide on a healthy lifestyle program of their choice. They elected to provide healthy lunches to underprivileged kids on the weekends, as the kids do not have the same school-provided meals when at home. She also created a safety dojo that she inspired her UAW counterpart to use in conjunction with his computer and lecture-based safety training for a hands-on, real-life approach to understanding the why and the how behind safety requirements. In her new role, she has assessed other dojos, makes recommendations, and is assembling a manual of possible modules based on safety and environmental risks she sees in various facilities.”
