“Brian led our Prevention through Design effort focused on minimizing hazards associated with our new 423,000-square-foot corporate campus built in Johnston, RI. Prior to construction, Brian developed a framework to manage the PtD program with the project team. Regular meetings and a PtD tracking document provided transparency of the process and a mechanism for tracking accountability and progress. Engaging the key stakeholders throughout all stages of the project, a comprehensive risk assessment and robust discussion around building use and risks resulted in over 130 changes in the building design. Since beginning PtD, Citizens has seen a 40% reduction in employee injuries.
