Nothing changed for me. If other safety professionals have gained appreciation during the pandemic, that is great. But for me, it is business as usual- pandemic or not. I am still a one-person team. I still have to look out for employees that may or may not be engaged and may or may not look after themselves or others. Every day I struggle with Corporate wanting more for less. I am expected to be a subject matter expert as well as a technician because we a short-staffed. I have tribal and technical knowledge that I would like to pass on to others, but sadly will not because it is not anyone else's job.
